چکیده

The aim of the study was to analyse the effect of mulligan bent leg raise technique on hamstring trigger point. 40 subjects who were diagnosed by hamstring trigger point randomly recruited in the study All subjects received Mulligan bent leg raise technique (BLR), To determine the effect of intervention the patient were assessed on the measures of Active knee extension test (AKE) and visual analogue scale(VAS) on pre and post of the study. t-test indicated significant improvement in Visual analogue scale and Active knee extension test in subject with hamstring trigger point. The study suggests that BLR is effective in decreasing pain and improving range of motion in subjects with hamstring trigger point.

Immediate Effect of Active Release Technique versus Mulligan Bent Leg Raise in Subjects with Hamstring Tightness: a Randomized Clinical Trial

Background: To study and compare the effectiveness of active release technique and mulligan bent leg raise in subjects with hamstring tightness. Methods: 40 normal healthy subjects (20 in each group) were recruited in the study under simple randomization method. Group A received single session of Active Release Technique and Group B received single session of Mulligan Bent Leg Raise technique f...

Mulligan bent leg raise technique--a preliminary randomized trial of immediate effects after a single intervention.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects over 24h, on range of motion and pain, of a single intervention of Mulligan's bent leg raise (BLR) technique in subjects with limited straight leg raise (SLR) and low back pain (LBP). Mulligan techniques are frequently used in practice but their effectiveness has not been adequately researched. Ninety-four subjects were contacted by telephone...

Effect of dry needling of gluteal muscles on straight leg raise: a randomised, placebo controlled, double blind trial.

OBJECTIVES To use a randomised, double blind, placebo controlled trial to establish the effect on straight leg raise, hip internal rotation, and muscle pain of dry needling treatment to the gluteal muscles in athletes with posterior thigh pain referred from gluteal trigger points. METHODS A randomised, double blind, placebo controlled trial of 59 male runners was performed during the 2002 Aus...

Ultra-sonographic study of the effect of dry needling of extensor muscles combined with Mulligan mobilization technique on extensor muscle tendon thickness, pain and upper limb function in patients with lateral epicondylitis: A double-blinded randomi

Introduction: Lateral epicondylitis (LE) is one of the most common causes of pain in the elbow. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of dry needling (DN) of wrist extensor muscles along with Mulligan mobilization (MM) technique on extensor muscle tendon thickness, pain and upper limb function in patients with LE. Materials and Methods: 39 patients with LE participated in this double...
